Jessica

Growing up, I always loved animals and wanted a dog, but unfortunately never owned one. I volunteered at animal shelters in high school to get my fix of cute pets, but wanted more! Once I graduated high school I began working at Joan Embry’s Institute for Wildlife Conservation in San Diego. It was there I learned to care for and bond with animals and knew that was the field of work I wanted to go into.
When I was 20 years old, I moved to Utah for school and got my first puppy, an Australian Shepherd/Border Collie mix named Leila. I immediately became obsessed with training her and teaching her new tricks. It was so fun and rewarding to see her get excited about training too! Soon after, I welcomed my second puppy, a Great Dane named Sadie, to my pack! I got a job at a dog daycare as a kennel technician and during the 3 years I have worked there, my love for dogs grew exponentially. I was able to learn so much about dog behavior, body language and communication.

I graduated from Animal Behavior College in 2021 and bought my own training business shortly after. I shadowed Molli and her trainers for several months, soaking up any information I could. In my time as a trainer I have deepened my passion for working with dogs. I am now training my dog Leila to be a full time service dog and find so much joy in strengthening our bond through training. My goal in training is to help others strengthen the bonds with their dogs and feel the reward of having a well-trained companion. I am so happy to be a trainer with Molli Dogs, where I can continue to pursue my passion!
